Pilates is an stimulating form of exercise for your mind and body that will improve your strength, flexibility, coordination and overall mobility. As a result your posture will change and you will move more efficiently. You will achieve a strong core, develop longer leaner muscles and improve your overall sense of well-being. Kate’s style of teaching focuses on educating people about how they ‘cheat’ during exercise and highlighting their strengths and weaknesses.
The Matwork classes are in small groups of no more than 5 people and last 60 mins. The exercises are performed on a mat, sometimes using small pieces of equipment. It is your body working against gravity that provides the biggest challenge. Classes will focus on specific areas whilst using exercises that integrate the whole body to re-educate and restore it to optimum muscular and skeletal function.


OsteoPilates sessions are an individually designed combination of manual treatment and one-to-one Pilates instruction. Kate created this combination from her experience of previously being trained as an Osteopath and currently working as a Pilates teacher. Kate has found that the combination of treatment and exercise in one session can be very effective. OsteoPilates works using osteopathic principles combined with fascial release techniques, trigger points, joint manipulation and deep soft tissue release together with an individually prescribed Pilates exercise programme. The initial session includes a consultation and a postural assessment as well as treatment. Kate will instruct and treat in a time ratio that changes depending on your requirements, pain or ability.
